Years ago, I had a love affair with my problems. I LOVED to complain about my ex’s behavior, or my dismal financial state or my daughter’s crazy-messy room! This complaining came from a very victim-y place. My words said I’m powerless and STUCK!!
When I looked at a problem, I felt overwhelmed. My problems seemed big and I felt small. Not only did I feel small, but emotionally young as well. As we all know, most 5 year olds can’t handle big problems.
It was time to grow up. If I had a problem, my usual course was to blame others or the world. I loved blaming this overarching world that was intentionally repressing me. Perhaps I felt safe in my powerlessness. Plus, I didn’t have to show up as a fully empowered woman in my life. I could avoid confrontation and stay small and meek.
My entire world was soon split open wide. One can only stay in the dark for so long. Especially if you sincerely pray for help and are committed to inner transformation, answers will stream forth.
Through Pathwork, a spiritual path of self-purification, I discovered that my negative attitudes and beliefs created my external world. Whoa, I didn’t know I had so much power. Once I learned techniques to release these internal obstacles, my problems no longer became bigger than me.
“In the nucleus of your innermost self you will find the eternal presence of God…In it you will find a sense of wholeness and of eternal life, the power of healing and emotional fulfillment on the deepest possible level. – Pathwork Lecture 200
When you are in contact with your divinity, everything is possible.
1. When you are truly ready to find solutions to your problems, sit down and request help from the higher powers. Be clear that you are open to receive solutions.
2. Release your attachments to the negative pleasure you receive from the problem.
3. Ask if there is anything within you that needs transformation and pray for the strength to transform it.
4. Allow the answers to flow from within you. Some answers will come from the outside world, perhaps an overheard conversation, a radio ad or a call from a friend.
Know that divinity surrounds and permeates you always.
Trust in God and Know You are Deeply Loved Always.
Wishing you peace,
Patti
